👶 Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Overview
The Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is an evidence-based educational initiative developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Heart Association (AHA).
It equips healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe and effective resuscitation to newborns at birth.
This internationally recognized program focuses on the initial management of newborns who require assistance to establish breathing and circulation immediately after delivery.
Course Objectives
Understand the physiology of transition from intrauterine to extrauterine life
Recognize newborns who require resuscitation at birth
Perform prompt, systematic assessment and intervention
Master ventilation and chest compression techniques for newborns
Promote teamwork and communication during neonatal emergencies
Who Should Attend
This course is essential for all healthcare professionals involved in perinatal or neonatal care, including:
Doctors (Obstetricians, Pediatricians, Neonatologists)
Nurses and midwives
Respiratory therapists
Emergency and NICU staff
Paramedics and first responders in maternity transport
